Kenya was that answered prayer for a good friend and sister in Christ. When I was at my lowest and most depressed, she went above and beyond to show me that I mattered and that I am loved by God. Her gift of exhortation was very evident during that entire period of darkness in my life. Kenya showed me what is was like to be the light in this cruel world. Today, I am fully confident in my identity as a child of God and the enemy cannot lie to me anymore. Today I have the knowledge to take thoughts captive and rebuke them. Jesus has transformed my life and used Kenya as the person to bring to me to him.

I was a new mom struggling with my identity and God put Kenya in my life to show me that I was more than just a mom. I met Kenya in 2020 when I was looking for work after taking a year off to raise my daughter. Kenya hired me despite my limited availability and was very genuine with her kind words. It was very hard for me to accept why this person believed in me but I took a leap of faith and joined her production company as a journalist. I grew immensely! My self-esteem and confidence reached new heights, and my career started to take off. One of our awareness documentaries went viral and I was offered more jobs for other news channels. Kenya truly has the gift of exhortation and to this day remains one of my dearest friends and greatest professional mentors.

Kenya helped me discover new talents that resulted in an entire career change! I worked for two of Kenya’s production companies, PEI and Aaltia Productions, as the main presenter/reporter. My skills grew in many areas of journalism but I also developed a great interest in cameras. Kenya, also a photographer, took the time to teach me all I needed to get started in that newfound passion. God knew that I would need this career change as the restrictions of the pandemic made it increasingly hard for Kenya’s company to thrive. As Kenya was forced to shut down, she was still a beam of light, always positive and trusting God that He has a plan. She motivated me to start my career as a photographer and gave me one of the company’s Canons and everything I needed to get started. I could never repay her for the help and motivation I needed to take a risk in this new career. But I am forever grateful to God for showing His love and mercy through her.
